Review on Rugged Ridge 13551.07 CB Radio Mounting Bracket for Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ (03-06) - Windshield Mount Solution by Justin Trujillo

I bought this some time ago and finally got around to installing it today. Despite the fact that the packaging and advertising say you can't drill, you will have to dig in your 04' TJ. Then he instructs you to drill a 3/8 bit. I thought it's ok, it's not the first time I've put a drill on my jeep. As you can see in the photo the rubber bolt fitted and the other fell through and fell apart even though it was exactly the size of the hole and I had good thread. The hardware is junk and out of specification. It will fall apart when you install it. Very frustrating. Now I have to look for a replacement. I'm going to Lowes tomorrow to see if they have a replacement insole.
