Review on Berglander 20 Piece Titanium Plated Stainless Steel Flatware Set - Golden Silverware Set with Shiny Gold Finish - Service for 4 by Eric Nelso

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Beautiful copper/rose gold color, no embossing, modern aesthetic and small size

Rose gold and copper have become the latest trend in all kinds of electronics, cutlery, tableware, jewelry, etc. have two Flatware Sets: Towle's nicer 40-piece 18/10 stainless steel set (bought from Crate & Barrel for about $80 over a decade ago) that we keep for special occasions. in felt cutlery storage and our daily discounted Förnuft Don't Care If We Lose It set ($9.99 for 20 pieces) from IKEA. Well, in keeping with the whole "don't care if we lose it" mantra, we've lost 30% of cheap cookware, so I wanted to either use the Towle set as our new daily set, or buy a better set. formal or replace your everyday set with something nicer than just IKEA. We're not generally trendy people (remember all those IKEA purchases?), so it's a bit difficult to spend even if it's something we've been using every day for a decade or more. But we all have to grow up at some point, and this Berglander set seemed somewhere between "better than IKEA, but won't kill me if something goes wrong." In other words, it can be good value for money for one modern style, an expensive look and as a test for this type of titanium-coated stainless steel. However, I've only had it for a day, so I can't yet comment on its durability and its ability to withstand daily dishwashing and a troubled family. BUT what I want to say is that it is the right size for everyday wear and the perfect colour, balance and modern style for a more formal occasion. My favorite part as you will see in the corresponding photo. by having no branding on the back of the harness. No nonsense "Taule, 18/10, China" or "IKEA, made in the People's Republic of China". It is pure cutlery without rose gold or copper embossing. Very pleasing to the eye. Pictured from left to right: 1. The back of my towle dinner fork is embossed 18/10.2. The front of my Towle fork is a little shorter than this rose gold Berglander fork, but not by much. The back of a Berglander table fork in rose gold. (without prints!) 4. The front of the table fork in rose gold Bergländer.5. The front of the IKEA Förnuft cutlery, slightly shorter than the rose gold Berglander table fork.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Incredible price
