knives and both sets of black forks are missing outside the box. If you want a good set this isn't it.

I liked the way they look and they are a comfortable weight but after less than 6 months of ownership the black part of the cutlery was chipped and cracked. I noticed the first one about a month and a half ago and was hoping it was an accident, but no, the whole set looks awful now. I am very disappointed as we leave these "nice" forks, knives and spoons for a good dinner every night and don't use them for anything else.

At first we liked it. Attractive and fairly durable, if a bit flimsy. After a while the paint started chipping and we had to throw it away. Particles of color got into our coffee when I stirred it with one of those spoons! Not much more than 6 months later. Note: However, we are a family of 4 including two teenagers. If you only use them for casual purposes, that might be ok. I guess it's not for every day use unless you buy it unpainted.

Bought two sets for my new apartment and used them for a week. They are the perfect weight and have not been damaged. I only hand wash them with 7th generation unscented soap. Putting them in the dishwasher or using an acidic soap (orange or lemon scented) will wear away the gold. However, this applies to ANY copper/gold plated cutlery set, even if it's from Crate and Barrel, which is four times the price. Perfect value for money and look forward to continued use in my new home

Great set! It's mid-weight to almost light, but doesn't feel cheap in the hand. The edges are nice and smooth, unlike the coarse-cut cutlery found in some cheaper restaurants. I haven't owned a set for a very long time and only wash dishes by hand. So far there are no signs of fading or wear and tear.
