Wella's Brilliance line is used on coloured hair to extend the life of the color and enhance the sheen. Products exist for both my regular to fine hair and for coarse, dry hair with a fuller texture. After finishing the coloring sheets, I decided to take the entire series (shampoo, balm and mask). The balm has a smooth texture and a thinner consistency than its silicone-heavy competitors like Matrix's. Use is moderate, the balm is readily worked into the hair, and it washes off with little effort. The scent lasts until the next time I wash my hair, which is at least a day for me, and is consistent with the rest of the Brilliance line's enticing aroma. The division between thin/normal and coarse/dry hair is not a marketing trick, but rather a product specialty; my colored and thin hair feels amazing after using the balm; it shines, flows, and does not hang like icicles in the evening. Given the option and the stability of my hair type, I foresee continuing purchases of this effective balm for fine colored hair.
