Any ice pack will provide some pain relief - it depends on how much pain you are in. If you are thinking about getting one, get THIS kit. For an extra few dollars, you will get 2 packs, that are larger in each direction than the standard 5x10", that are well made and easily fit across the small of your back and 2 additional strap extensions that will give you all sorts of ways to attach the pack to your body securely. Trust me, I know. I cannot speak to the durability of the packs or the straps yet, as I have only had it a few days and have only used it a half dozen, or perhaps 6 times.
