Review on MASTERCOOL 52224 Infrared Thermometer Laser by Brittney Shallenberger

Bought this baking thermometer to take the temperature of my brick/steel. This proved to be more than sufficient for the task at hand. Temperatures are pretty accurate across the range, the laser is spot on and the shape of the grip is nice. I especially like the fact that it runs on AAA batteries instead of the 9 volts you find in some other thermometers. The case it comes in ensures the thermometer is reasonably well protected during transport and the additional meat thermometer is a nice bonus. Emissivity so it gives you wrong readings. However, you can use it to determine the temperature of the oil, so if you're cooking in stainless steel cookware, simply measure the temperature after adding the oil. Overall I find this thermometer to be of good quality and very useful to me. This lets me know when my oven has reached the right temperature, so I don't have to preheat longer than necessary, and I can check if the pans are hot enough without preheating longer than necessary.
