MASTERCOOL 52224 Infrared Thermometer Laser Review

I've had this for several years and it's consistently 5F below actual temp. I know this is inaccurate because I've used some other temperature measurement tools like FLIR, the Rx medical surface temperature controller, and several off-the-shelf thermostats. That's fine if you know where the temperature offset is, but since you can't calibrate it, it means you have to add or subtract an error every time. it is used.

I bought this to use in my pediatric office. Received this item quickly but had problems right out of the box, it took 3 adults to figure out how to open where the batteries are. I then used it many times that day and it never gave a remotely accurate reading. Temperature readings fluctuated between 60 and 89 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the day. At these temperatures I would be clinically dead lol. I have other thermometers and they read my temperature at 98.4 which is fine with me.

Ideal for the heavy equipment mechanic. The cover is nice and comes with a thermometer in the shape of an air conditioner vent handle. I had a makeshift SouthWire pistol, but I can't find it. Bought this baking thermometer to take the temperature of my brick/steel. This proved to be more than sufficient for the task at hand.
