Incredibly difficult installation
The mounting plate comes pre-assembled with the doorstop and is almost impossible to separate as other people have said for the installation. I had to drive 2 nails into a piece of wood the same distance apart as the holes in the mounting plate so I could grab it to unscrew to complete the installation. This doorstop needs to be packaged unassembled to eliminate this problem. Also, make sure both sides are perfectly aligned before drilling holes, otherwise you won't get a good grip on the magnets.
