My son has special needs and goes to sports several times a week. These boots were fine when we received them. A truck in the snow and he fell twice. The second time is hard. Snowball on Boots. Upon inspection, Ninside found that the mesh was falling out of the insole which posed a safety hazard for my boy. There is. I can remove the mesh as it appears to be a self destructing material. I wouldn't recommend it if you use them for snow. And especially if your child has coordination/balance problems and doesn't stop well when they fall. Chilling inside by the fire after his tears were wiped away. kinda angry. It's only now that I'm seeing reviews that didn't exist before I bought it.
