Review on Torin Come Along Double Cable Puller by Scott Rose

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Turns a 5 minute job into an hour! So funny!

Right now I was so upset that I left the field and went home to write this review. If you hate your free time and prefer to get excited then this is the perfect product for you. If you buy this, be prepared for a double disappointment. This is the first product I have purchased that requires me to bring my own tools to use. No joke. Problems I had with my BYE. 1) The guide does not adequately cover the cable, so the cable can sometimes get stuck in the frame. 2) The (ratchet) spring that controls gear engagement slips out of the clip. . If it wasn't torture, as it often is, it would be comical. 3) The trigger spring to discharge the line can be a beast to get to the release. I mean I'm a big man and this could be a fight by any means. Forget if you have arthritis. I won't complain about the lack of documentation, but if you've never used any of these before, you'll be annoyed. Now for the second bad news. Since you get what you pay for with a $20 POS purchase, you don't have to try to get it back. Why? because it's damn heavy, so shipping cost more. SERVICE YOURSELF AND PAY MORE TO BUY SOMETHING BETTER FOR ONCE. Eventually I need one of these, so I'm going to buy a second one.

Pros
  • Powerful hand operated ratchet with automatic release with gradual lowering
Cons
  • Communication with seller
