Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent, but obviously with flaws.

Very good for such a price. But at the time of writing this product has very low ratings and there is a good reason for that. I was planning to buy this monitor for a Pi-Top, a portable laptop with a Raspberry Pi. For that purpose I think it will work, but it only works because I planned this project. This monitor comes with a defective power supply. It's not really my area and I can't tell you exactly what's wrong with it, but the single power cord that came with it turned on intermittently, causing the screen to turn on for half a second about every 5 seconds. The monitor settings were reset on every boot, making this screen completely unusable. This power supply also has a blue LED that lights up for a while even when unplugged. The last power supply I bought fell apart at the plug and shocked me so I didn't feel the need to experiment further. In other words, the product I received didn't work right away. Luckily I had a switchable DC power supply to start the monitor with, so 12V at 2.1A. After that I started it up. The sound was surprisingly good. It's not surprising, but it's loud enough to be legible and if you hold the monitor tight you can feel the bass emanating from the speakers. The screen seems to be of good quality, but the output was kind of blurry and I had to manually set the aspect ratio to make it easier to read. Maybe it's because I left a screen protector on, so I'll update it in a few months if that changes anything. (Awaiting other parts for my project.) The AV/camera inputs are similar to those I've found on other TFTs in this price range and seem to work, although I haven't tested them.
