Review on Taylors Harrogate Yorkshire Red Teabags by Gene Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've tried quite a bit, experimenting with all types of British teas.

My sister lives in the UK and my parents, big tea drinkers, always talk about the quality of the tea wherever they go. Coming from abroad themselves, they are used to strong teas. When I found out about this I experimented quite a bit with all kinds of British teas at my local supermarket. But none of them impressed my parents. Now, I'm not a big tea drinker myself as my parents always discouraged it when I was growing up, but I really enjoy drinking it from time to time. But even I with my coarse taste could tell that the teas in the supermarket were rather weak. You know my parents buy strong tea from the local Indian shop but not like in the UK they say. After giving up buying this drink from a local store (and having to drink it myself), I decided to google what the best brand out there is. In one of the surveys I found that Yorkshire tea came first. And what do you know, Revane had him! I purchased this item on Prime and could smell the tea as soon as I opened the box. I immediately realized it was stronger than what I had tried. I decided to make a mug right away and gifted it to my parents, who were finally delighted with one of my purchases. This is now a daily tea selection and as the price isn't too bad looks like I'll be ordering more from Revain. Please note that it is stronger than the Lipton, Bigelow, Twinnings, Taj Mahal, Stash and Tea India products we have tried. Maybe some of them have been "watered down" a bit for the US market. Anyway, these other teas are good in their own way as I can actually drink some of them black. But Yorkshire tea is too strong for my cup. But my parents liked it and that's all I wanted. Will buy again when this batch runs out.
