Description of Taylors Harrogate Yorkshire Red Teabags

A proper brew – pure and simple. We pay fair prices for really good tea from farms in Africa and India, to make a lovely blend that’s big on flavor, seriously refreshing and kind to the people who grow it. Why does Yorkshire tea taste so good? The simple reason is that we never compromise on quality. We always buy the very best teas for our blends and you can really taste the difference. Rich, full-bodied blend makes an ideal breakfast tea or afternoon delight. We do everything properly as all Yorkshire tea is produced by Rainforest Alliance Certified Growers. Our Yorkshire Tea boxes carry the trademark of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) – a not-for-profit organisation which promotes responsible forest management, harvesting wood in a way that assures the forest's biodiversity, productivity and ecological processes are preserved.

Tea for every day of the year.

I have been drinking Typhoo, another great British tea, for many years. Thought I would try this tea too and it is an excellent tea. There is no bitter element unless you use water that is too hot, which can make any tea bitter. It's just about everything I could ask for and I hope to drink hundreds more cups of this tea. I test the water at around 200 degrees and then turn it up the second time I use the bag - I know some don't but I'm ok with that. Compared to most beverages, tea is very…

Problem with packaging and product

I used to buy Yorkshire tea bags from a plantation. It is a fake? The original tea I've bought in the past came in double flow bags with a paper tag "Yorkshire Tea" (see picture). Inside were dried tea leaves. This item comes in flat pouches with no drawstrings to tear open and the contents of the pouches are a very fine powder that is too fine for tea bag paper. So a HUGE mess when opening - fine tea powder everywhere. Not just in the box, but on me, on my desk, on the floor. Despite being…

It's Taylor's Yorkshire Tee that's available for purchase!

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING TAYLOR'S YORKSHIRE TEA! So far the boxes I've ordered from Innox Trading-GB (240 x 750 gram square packs, no laces or tags) have been UK packed and have been GREAT which is what I expected. A tea bag brewed the perfect 15 oz. Cup/mug of tea for me, hence the 5 stars. I recently stocked up from another supplier and these 100 pouch boxes were ridiculously small, were regular American gusseted pouches with thread and labels and required 2 tea bags to get the right…

An unbeatable combination: Yorkshire Tea and Revain

We have been buying this product from Revain for a number of years because it is cheaper than anyone else. You can usually find this product in overseas delis for a lot more money. We started Yorkshire Tea while living in England (18 years old) and were delighted to find a product available here in the US, specifically from Revain. It makes a very good cup of tea with a strong aroma but a mild aftertaste. You will find that Yorkshire tea is better than PG Tips tea or Typhoo tea. It's all about…

Ignore some of the negative reviews!

When I bought my last boxes of Yorkshire tea I saw a few negative reviews about the quality - one even suggested it was fake! The problem was that they knew nothing about English tea. They used to buy bags with labels intended for brewing tea in a cup, not for brewing in a kettle, which of course should be done that way. These packets are 3g each - place two in a medium saucepan, add freshly boiled water and wait a few minutes. That makes about 3 large cups of tea, after pouring two, add some…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Many reviews mention that this tea is NOT metallic or bitter. It's either a problem with the taste buds, as with soap-flavored cilantro versus fresh cilantro, or the temperature of the water. I've been looking for a bulk tea that I like and it's better than some but not as heavenly. On the other hand, I'm a pretty big fan of the ToH Scottish breakfast (also very hard to overdo it if you're not as careful as I can be when I'm busy). Scottish Breakfast is the smooth, super dark powdered tea I've…

I've tried quite a bit, experimenting with all types of British teas.

My sister lives in the UK and my parents, big tea drinkers, always talk about the quality of the tea wherever they go. Coming from abroad themselves, they are used to strong teas. When I found out about this I experimented quite a bit with all kinds of British teas at my local supermarket. But none of them impressed my parents. Now, I'm not a big tea drinker myself as my parents always discouraged it when I was growing up, but I really enjoy drinking it from time to time. But even I with my…
