Many reviews mention that this tea is NOT metallic or bitter. It's either a problem with the taste buds, as with soap-flavored cilantro versus fresh cilantro, or the temperature of the water. I've been looking for a bulk tea that I like and it's better than some but not as heavenly. On the other hand, I'm a pretty big fan of the ToH Scottish breakfast (also very hard to overdo it if you're not as careful as I can be when I'm busy). Scottish Breakfast is the smooth, super dark powdered tea I've been looking for. It just doesn't come in 1,000 trillion packs like this Yorkshire tea. I wonder if the negative reviewers citing taste are using sufficiently hot water. If unsure, use cooking. Black tea tolerates the temperature. At work I have to get hot water from a dispenser and then put it in the microwave. For green tea, it comes out of the dispenser at the right temperature and will not be prosecuted for burns, but makes any black tea absolutely disgusting. I left 1 star for it before realizing the water must be hotter. So hello! Good news, I have plenty of tea bags to use.
