It didn't seem to work because the outside diameter of the ring on my LED lights was so much smaller than the inside diameter of this adapter that the adapter kept falling off. I looked at every other detail thinking that this adapter will not fit the base of 2014 Kia Sorento. I was watching a video one day and saw them plug the collar and adapter into the headlight assembly *no bulb*, thought I'd give it a try. This can be easy when the entire headlight is removed from the car, but trying to fit them into the socket along with the headlight in the car was a big problem. I couldn't just tighten it with the pear because my pears could twist in the collar. Maybe your lightbulb will get brighter. After finally getting all three tabs partially into their slots, I still had to use needle nose pliers to secure the tabs. At this point the collar was secured and I was able to insert and rotate the LED lights into position. So what should have been a 5-10 minute job took almost an hour. The second bulb was no faster than the first after I figured out the trick. In summary: everything worked, but installation was a pain.
