I just checked my 2016 purchases and I buy them regularly. I use them for regular patrols. Luckily they're pretty cheap, otherwise I'd be annoyed at how often they break. I usually have to change one after a month or two. The weak link is the speaker, which makes everything sound weird. I disassembled the whole device to fix it, but that's not possible. Think of it like disposable earplugs. Even though they're new, they're great. They would get 4 or 5 stars if durability was improved. I should also mention that they are guaranteed, but you have to pay the shipping back to Maximal Power and pay $5 for handling. Considering that Revain is priced at just over $6, it looks like they know no one will take them under guarantee. The rating would also increase if both clips were metal. I removed the metal clip from the broken blocks and now I tie a cable to it and then attach it to my vest. A metal clip is much better than a flimsy plastic clip. Yes there is material to make it yourself but I don't need it.
