That works fine. - Computers and Accessories

I inserted the card, plugged my SSD and power connector into the card, booted up with no problems. The Windows 8.1 AHCI driver worked fine for this, but I installed Syba Asmedia anyway, hoping I'd get better performance - it turned out the benchmarks between the two were roughly identical. and for speeds for my Sandisk 120GB Extreme II SSD. I compare it to the onboard SATA II (Intel ICH10R) on an Asus P5Q Pro motherboard. About 250 Mbit/s reading and writing in front of a Syba card, up to about 320 Mbit/s with a Syba card on SATA III. The USB 3.0 speed increase was more significant, doubling the speed on the ADATA UV128 USB stick:=--- USB 2.0 over Asus P5Q Pro motherboard:------------------ ---------------------- ---------------------- - CrystalDiskMark 3.0 .1 x64 (C) 2007-2010 hiyohiyo---------- ---------------------- -------- -------------- ------* MB/s = 1,000,000 bytes/s [SATA/300 = 300,000,000 bytes/s] Sequential read: 34.750 MB/s Sequential Write: 19,063 MB/s 512 KB Random Read: 33,210 MB/s 512 KB Random Write: 7,996 MB/s 4 KB Random Read (QD=1) : 3,321 MB/s [810.9 IOPS] 4 KB Random Write (QD= 1): 0.706 MB/s [172.5 IOPS] 4 KB Random Read (QD=32): 4.280 MB/s [1044.9 IOPS] Random 4 KB Write (QD=32): 0.835 MB/s [203, 8 IOPS] Benchmark: 100 MB [E: 0.6% (0.1/14.8 GB)] (x5) Date: 2014-06-06 7:55:23 Operating system: Windows NT 6.2 [6.2 Build 9200] (x64 ) --- USB 3.0 via Syba card: Sequential Read: 77,880 MB/s Sequential Write: 36,693 MB/s Random Read 512 KB : 69.465 MB/s Random Write 512 KB : 10.152 MB/s Random Read 4 KB (QD=1) : 5.346 MB/s [1305.1 IOPS] Random Write 4 KB (QD=1) : 0.858 MB/s [209, 5 IOPS] 4 KB Random Read (QD=32): 7.456 MB/s [1820.3 IOPS] 4 KB Random Write (QD=32): 1.117 MB/s [272.8 IOPS] Test: 100 MB [E: 0.6% (0.1/14.8) GB)] (x5) Date: 06/06/2014 08:02:25 Operating system: Windows NT 6.2 [6.2 Build 9200] (x64) - ------ ---- I can say for the $23 I spent on this through Revain Warehouse Deals I'm pleased with the results.
