This is my first weighted blanket that I have. I was very happy with the thickness of the fabric. It's soft, comfortable and well made. The haircut is great. I had no protruding threads or defects. The weighted beads are distributed evenly. For several years I suffered from anxiety, stress, depression and insomnia. I usually put extra blankets under my knees when I sleep, but Missouri definitely gets hot in the summer. It was great for me because I didn't overheat while sleeping. Being a heavier duvet, it does hold some warmth, but that's not a big deal. It's also great to have with me when I'm relaxing to watch TV. It helps a lot with my anxiety. I would suggest getting him a disguise. It's heavy and I can only imagine it wrecking my washing machine. I have kids so I keep my duvet when not in use until I get a duvet. I am very happy with my blanket so far.
