(original rating) FAST! heats up quickly and cooks well. Great specs but they could lose grip and I wouldn't complain. To change the temperature/power level, you must turn the knob and press to set. Each click when turning the knob is not directly related to a setting change. In other words, you have to turn the knob a lot to change the settings. A click on a setting would be nice. It squeaks every time, but it's not critical. The key here is the size of the coil and the size of the pot you can use. The size of the coil means better heat distribution for smaller pots. Except for the handle I would give this a 5.10 hour timer would be nice too but it cooks without using the timer. I like it, but it's not aesthetically pleasing. In a month. Like the oven. As I said, the button leaves a lot to be desired. Three programs can be installed. For normal cooking, this is useless. These three programs are for programming a long process where you can cook something for 6-8 hours or more and change the temperature during the process. I was under the impression that you can set up programs for a one touch program to use when needed. Not so. But again, the size of the reel and the quality is excellent. Feel free to buy it. It's probably more than we need on a day-to-day basis, but if there's a special occasion and we need to use a larger pan, we have extra capacity. We also have an old Japanese cooker (1300w) that we bought about 8-10 years ago so we now have 2 induction cookers and we love them. 4 month update - originally given 4 stars but has since been upgraded to 5. When you use the stove, minor ailments go away. It just takes a little practice. We encountered a problem related to our operation of the device. - A large, heavy pan was not properly centered and was sticking out over the edge of the cooking zone. The plastic rim melted from the heat of the pot. Support contacted. They responded quickly and resolved the issue quickly with no hassles. We love this unit. Would definitely buy from Aervoe Industries again - they are the distributor of this unit.
