Review on NOYAL Obedience Training Agility Outside by Miguel Saiz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good but for light and small dogs

Good length and cheap price but everything about this product screams cheap components, poor construction and ease of use. First, the product information (see attached photo) says the rope is 3/4" wide when in fact it's barely 1/4" in diameter. Whilst this makes it light (as said) it also results in it being difficult to grip, very prone to rope burns, over stretching and risk of breakage. The loops that make up the handle and ends of the clip are sewn with a few stitches of thin, lightweight thread and have rubber boots that slide over them (but can also slide down to reveal the ends of the loops). This happened to my leash the first time I used it and that's how I understood how the loops were made. To make sure they didn't rip completely on the first hard pull, I quickly reinforced those areas with heavier thread, strong glue, wrapped them in strong duct tape, and then put the rubber boots back in place. The rope used in this product consists of multiple (4 or 5) fine strands woven together in a thin woven nylon sheath. This outer cover is very susceptible to abrasion and fails outright, tearing and coming loose on the second use when my dog momentarily snags on a rope under a car tire in a dog park. Update 10/14/21: The 'heavy duty' swivel clasp (which attaches the leash to your dog's collar) completely broke loose from the swivel when my dog reached the end of the leash and tried to hit a passing dog. Luckily, the encounter between the two dogs was friendly and non-confrontational, although he was now off the leash.
