1) They're incredibly easy to install if you have at least the mechanical skills of a sentient sentient monkey. Remove the plastic triangle, three nuts on the old mirror, put the bolts/bolts of the new one through the holes, put the nuts and triangle back on. 2) One of mine broke. They are well packaged so I'm inclined to think they broke during the packaging stage as I don't see how that could have caused breakage. Luckily only the bottom part of the mirror broke off where it attaches to the pulley that allows the movement. I took some JB Weld and although it was already installed on the truck I put it back where it should have been. 3) It's not fashionable, it's basically the basic model of retractable towing mirrors. If you don't care about performance boost, mirror markings, heating/defog functions, then this is a wise choice. However, I would shop around to see if there are other identical offerings for less. The price of towing mirrors fluctuates from time to time.
