SERVING SIZE AND USE: Our dog eats fresh dog food that needs to be refrigerated and manually measured for each meal. Our dog requires 1.5 cups (12 ounces) of food per day, which needs to be fed twice a day. They are perfect for this purpose. We don't mind measuring every meal, but these little containers will make everyday life easier. These containers are also great for portioning homemade yoghurt. EASY TO CLEAN: This is a small glass bowl with a plastic lid. It can be washed by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher. If the dishwasher is too hot, it is best to wash the lid by hand. LEAK PROTECTION: see picture. Water did not flow out when the lid of the container was closed and tilted to one side. I don't know if they are sealed forever as there is no rubber gasket under the lid and plastic lids deform over time. All in all great little containers. I like that the bowls are made of glass and not plastic. I am grateful that Libbey makes this product.
