Review on Zulay Stainless Steel Apple Corer by Nancy Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Penetrates to the core

A wonderful thing arrived yesterday and last night I made a pioneering apple pie from puff pastry in no time at all, which requires four very thinly sliced apples . I've used a round-cut apple slicer for the core for decades, but ended up having to cut out some of the core from the resulting slices. With this corer I can send it straight to the core and it comes out almost right. I'm quite old and my arms aren't as strong as they used to be, but I was still able to use the release lever which makes it easy to detach the core from the device. Instead of slicing the thick slices, I can then slice them as thick or as thin as I want. I really enjoyed the product investment with a bit of Zulai family history as I was there and saw a lot of inequalities between economic classes in Venezuela long before the later regimes came to power - and it was awful. It is so great to read that the owner's mother was able to immigrate here and prosper.
