Review on πŸ”’ Optimal Turn-Key Clamps 5Y06458 - 2.5-4.5" Dryer Vent Carded Clamps (Pack of 2) by Ron Turner

Revainrating 3 out of 5

back Sue, you have enough room to turn the keys.

I bought a set of these (2 per pack) to tighten the end of my new Dundas Jafine BTD48TC ProFlex Transition Duct UL) tumble dryer. They worked great on the end that attaches to the vent pipe on the wall, but not so well on the dryer end. The problem with using these wing nuts or wrenches or whatever you call them is that they are designed to turn easily. That's a problem? They are not designed for tight spaces and there is only 5/8 inch metal pipe protruding from my dryer vent tube. dryer. In each case, when I tried to turn the nut, the wings pushing off the back of the dryer moved the clamp out of position. My solution? Use a regular clamp (with a slotted hex nut) for that Dryer end Your dryer vent hose. Best idea for a manufacturer? Convert the screw drive that tightens the clamp like a side worm drive and you can keep the easy to use wing nuts in this case as they are really easy to use!
