These earplugs are essential for a good night's sleep in a noisy apartment. I used to struggle with sleepless nights from the noise of my roommates or the dogs in my apartment and felt like a zombie with a headache all day long. White noise machines and box fans couldn't drown out the loud noises that kept waking me up. Fit: I finally decided to try ear tips, but regular sizes feel like they're stretching my ears inside out. I decided to try these soft and thin earbuds and they were amazing! Because these earbuds are thin, I can comfortably leave them in my ears for 8-10 hours without feeling any pain. It took some practice to fit them properly in the ears. I've found that it's best to roll them very tight, put them in your ear, and then wiggle the top of the ear back and forth with your hand until it fully expands. Noise: I used these earplugs to get some much-needed silence. Against: Snoring friends on big beds, noisy roommates in the hotel, noisy roommates in the lobby and kitchen, dogs running down the hallway, garbage trucks and cars on the street, birds at 5am, worried parents trying to clean the house cleaning at 7 o'clock before Thanksgiving, guests come, planes take off and vacuum. However, these earbuds don't block: fire alarms (which is good), phone signals and ringing (if your phone is near you), dogs barking in your apartment, and doorbells. Will definitely buy these earbuds if I'm a light sleeper! They have saved me from many insomnia and I am very grateful to them.
