I was trying to save money on the small one that was $27 and ended up using it once and fully. This works directly on site. feels great in your hands for comfort and vibrancy. All-metal block, even a range of airspeeds. I did some body work with it and got a very good sanding effect. Easily control the orbital rotation by controlling the air and pressure on the grinder. easy to steer around corners and rigging. Recently I did some wood carving and tried it. It really works just as well on wood as it does on car putty and paint. It sucks air, but not too much to my knowledge, and the vibration was pretty minimal. I didn't buy it for woodworking, but now I use it for sanding wood all the time.
