Good Value in my review

Having owned and used these gloves for several months I believe I have had enough experience to write a realistic review. I live in Bemidji Minnesota where winter temperatures can be brutal. So far the gloves have been exposed to temperatures down to minus 29 Fahrenheit. I am happy with their overall performance. For temperatures of 10 degrees and above they kept my hands comfortable while engaged in winter activities for extended periods of greater than an hour. However I found that when temperatures start dropping below 10 degrees the cold will begin creeping in. On our day when the temperature dropped to minus 29F my hands were cold in 10 minutes. This did not surprise me as I have never found a pair of gloves which would protect your fingers in this extreme cold. In my climate we wear leather mitten choppers with wool liners for this weather. The manufacturer claims these gloves protect down to minus 30. However they don’t indicate how long they would protect your hand at minus 30. In my experience it was less than 10 minutes at minus 29. Therefore be aware.of misleading manufacturers claims. On the other hand at extreme cold temperatures you probably won’t be outside for extended periods anyway. The gloves wear very well. They are abrasive resistant and appear waterproof in heavy wet snow. I like the long cuffs which protect the wrists from snow. At around $20 they are a bargain. I would have given them 5 stars except for the fact of the manufacturers questionable claim of protection down to minus 30. Overall they perform very well in moderate winter temperatures and are actually too warm to wear when the temperature exceeds freezing. I recommend these gloves for anyone who lives in areas that experience cold winters as they handle most winter temperatures well . At this price I’m going to buy another pair to keep in the car for emergencies.
