I have a small stash of various products, but sometimes I need a little help to extend their shelf life. These Integra Boost moisture control packs are just what I need to control moisture in exposed produce. These are not oxygen scavengers which I use in mylar bags that I want to seal. I use them in mason jars where I store everything from coffee beans to molasses. They are designed for less product but I chose to use them for coffee beans. What I particularly like about these bags is that they are individually wrapped. If I use oxygen scavengers, I have to pay attention to the packaging. I have to reseal it as soon as I take one or two out of the box. The remaining bags can simply be placed back into a ziplock bag and sealed. They are FDA approved and are therefore considered food safe. I just took out of the box and a separate bag and spare indicator. I put both in a small mason jar along with the coffee beans. Humidity control is a good option to make sure I have fresh coffee. A lot of the products I've bought are perishable, but the countdown starts as soon as they're opened. I love this new option and will continue to use it. I will simply reproduce the instructions below for your convenience. These pouches protect up to 29 grams or 0.98 of produce, food or electronics. The replacement display card will turn blue when replacement is required. HOW TO Boost: STEP 1. Remove the INTEGRA BOOST packaging from the clean outer packaging and place in an airtight container which contents must be preserved and protected. STEP 2 Place the replacement indicator card in the container and seal. .STEP 3Integra Boost begins by adjusting the relative humidity (RH) inside the canister to the specific RH percentage listed on the packaging. STEP 4 Replace the bag when the dot turns blue.
