The assembly instructions are a bit vague to get the hole on the side you want, but other than that it was easy to put together with someone else and keep the pieces straight. It took about an hour or two to assemble plus the time it took to add contact paper to match my furniture. The inside is easy to clean and my large strainer bowl fits in perfectly. My cats seem to like it too, so it's not too small or anything. For the record, I have a 10 pound cat and a 13 pound cat and they both get in and out easily.
