This 6 foot harness was purchased to help our newly acquired German Shepherd learn manners and good dog behavior around the house. This was a great intermediate step between being locked in drawers and having full access to the house and guests. At the age of about one year, the puppy likes to chew. This leash had a few puppy teeth for a while but proved to be very chew resistant. I was happy with the 6ft length as 4ft would be too short even for a medium or large sized dog. The wire has a durable clear plastic coating that makes it less abrasive, and luckily the coating doesn't even peel off in the chewing area. It was just what we needed.
