Review on Fuhuihe Epsolar Controller Negative Temperature by Justin Gore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Large value and input voltage range.

This is a really decent big buck converter for high voltage series or parallel solar systems. Even in extremely low light the batteries draw a small amount of current, when my 112v array is only outputting 14v it's still drawing 0.1 amps which is phenomenal. Its MPPT had a bit of slow logic when I first installed it, but once it was up and running I didn't notice it twitching as much and staying stable at certain voltages under similar lighting conditions. Realistically, for the money, you can't beat this thing. The MT50 is clunky but takes some getting used to, but works great. I wish it wasn't so bulky and had a more thoughtful mount. I still haven't figured out where to put it. I also found that I wish the data chord was longer so I would have more editing options. The mt50's LCD has a fairly narrow viewing angle, but that of the device itself is worse: it can only really be seen at a 90-degree angle to the device. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • PV input 150V negative ground compatible with 12/24/36/48V (Lead-Acid) battery charging. Only available for solar module and battery connector
Cons
  • The list will be long.
