Review on ๐Ÿถ Herm Sprenger Black Stainless Steel Prong Dog Training Collar: Ultimate No-Pull Solution with Quick Release Buckle - Made in Germany by Kayla Watson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for a very stubborn dog

I have long resisted the Spiked Collar, believing it to be barbaric. However, my dog trainer advised me differently and highly recommended the Herm Sprenger brand. I'm glad I bought this. My dog is a 3 year old Border Collie/Queensland Heeler mix and she is VERY RESILIENT. Although smart and obedient (when she feels like it), she is extremely stubborn and always pulls on the leash. I've tried many tricks in the book on how to stop her from pulling, but she just won't stop. After trying it on her for the first time, I noticed that she slowed down and didn't pull too far. Since then she has learned not to pull too hard when wearing this collar, but she still pulls, just not as hard. In fact, it's better than nothing as nothing else helped. The only downside is that my dog loves to roll around on the lawn. Sometimes grass and mud stick to the collar's teeth (probably because I leave some space between her neck and the collar). rzunimag. But easy cleaning.
