Review on π¨ 412-00 HAM Plastic Mallet - Size in Ounces by Evan Zurlo
Not very suitable for leather work.
The rawhide tip suggested it might be used with tools. I bought this hammer for leatherworking as while it's tool capable it doesn't have the weight to pound forks or an awl for sewing and there are better tool options. It's a cheap alternative, it's not bad, and it's not exclusively manufactured.
