Excellent quality, padding is soft, soft inside.
I am very happy with this case! It was wrapped in plastic, with a layer of plastic protecting the metal logo plate on the front. Two good quality zippers, the loop handle is strong. The outside of the case is well stitched. The inner partition between the two rows of grips is also soft and padded. All my pens fit perfectly in this case, from the thickest (Pelican Twist) to the thinnest (my old school Sheaffer pen). Even with all my pens in this case, I can still slip a small Rhodia No.12 notebook into the zippered pocket on the back. I am sure that my pens will be adequately protected in this case. Highly recommended!
