Review on Transform Your Space With PrinceDeco Velvet Curtains - Grey Room Darkening Window Panels For Soundproofing And Stylish Decor by Leroy Estell

Nice color and 72 " length. Quality lacking.

I sooo wanted to like these curtains. I'm giving one star for these curtains being true to color (a pleasant soft dusty blue), another for the 72" length, which is extremely hard to find these days. I have nooo idea why this is. I'm not one who likes to move 'pooling' curtains off the floor to vacuum, so all these crazy-long curtains available nowadays are not to my liking. I like somewhere between sill and baseboard length, so these would've been perfect. The problem? Fabric and workmanship is subpar. The fabric is very soft, but thin and slippery. 'Think' cheap polyester. Velvety front, slippery backside, though no lining. But they still do somehow filter a good amount of light, enough that I can sit at the table directly facing the sun, late afternoon through sunset, without the sun blinding me. Seriously. I was wearing sunglasses inside before. You can see the west sun shining through in some pictures. The sun would normally be blinding me as it is DIRECTLY behind that curtain. (It's late April, 7pm-ish. Sorry, I had nobody to hold the curtains up for me to take a pic from far away.)There are many areas where the nap of the velvet is worn/missing, appearing as holes and lines in the pictures. You WILL notice these fabric imperfections even more when the sun is behind the curtains. (See worn 'line' along the crease/fold in the one sun pic. 'Holes' in some others, including one with the sun behind that came out sort of blurry.) These are areas of low or missing nap, not literal fabric holes.Lots of loose threads, and the seams along the sides are bunched, curled, and won't lay flat. It appears as if the fabric slipped and twisted while sewing. The side-seam slowly widens too because the fabric must've been slipping as the seams were being sewn.Overall, I wouldn't recommend these unless you're on a tight budget, not too picky, or using these to cover a closet opening. Spend a little more and get something that will hold up otherwise.

Pros
  • The curtains are machine washable, making them ideal for use in homes with children or pets that require frequent cleaning
Cons
  • May not provide enough privacy for open, shared spaces
