Bought this for my above average 6 year old - about 51 inches - with size 8 Slim or 8R jeans. The length of the bibs was excellent. The coat was slightly longer in the arms and hem, but not too much. And the Velcro wrist closures pose no problem - just room to grow, not outgrow before the season ends. The bibs have room for layers underneath and plenty of room for my tall skinny baby's buttocks. Bibs will likely fit snugly to the body. no stretch or concession waist for bigger kids. The only thing that bothered us was that there are no zip pockets. Only velcro pockets on the outside of the bibs and coats. Would have liked an inside zip pocket for ski school lunch money. Kids stayed nice and cozy with layers underneath even in 20 degree weather. Fantastic purchase!
