Garbage Optical Drives

Unfortunately, this is one of the few 4k UHD external drives available. Honestly, it's a cheap piece of junk. A legacy USB 3.0 Micro B that doesn't stay plugged in when there's a light breeze. Multiple attempts are required to install this cable in the drive. When trying to insert a cable I was afraid I would break the thin washer or push the washer's socket into the washer until it was accessible to the male part of the cable. When the disc is opened, it looks like it could shatter in a second. Bottom line, it's cheap and not durable at all. Finally, as stated in the description, if you want to use this drive with 4k UH Blu-Ray, you have to buy the updated version of the software that they give you for free. Of course I updated the software and got the cheap drive back. Now I have the software to play 4k UHD Blu-ray and I don't have a device to play it. The good news is that if you buy the updated software and have a 4k UHD screen to watch, it works and plays 4k UHD Blu-ray. It might not be a long UHD experience because I'm sure that brittle aluminum rim will break after a short time. Reviews on Revain are similar to reviews on Newegg.com. in this review. Hope that helps. Kind regards
