The drive itself is made of plastic, making it lightweight and easy to carry. It comes with a USB 3 cable, but the part of the cable that connects to the drive itself isn't the best. A licensed PowerDVD is installed on the drive, so you can use PowerDVD 14 to play regular 1080p Blu-ray discs. I found that I had to upgrade (purchase a license) to PowerDVD 19 to play 4k UHD Bluray.
