Lightweight, portable and functional, but requires a modern Intel processor and Cyberlink software

The drive itself is made of plastic, making it lightweight and easy to carry. It comes with a USB 3 cable, but the part of the cable that connects to the drive itself isn't the best. A licensed PowerDVD is installed on the drive, so you can use PowerDVD 14 to play regular 1080p Blu-ray discs. I found that I had to upgrade (purchase a license) to PowerDVD 19 to play 4k UHD Bluray. This is bad on the Cyberlink software side. Through no fault of the drive manufacturer itself, UHD 4k Bluray playback will not work if you do not have an Intel processor and motherboard that supports Intel SGX. Write it down to Intel and the Hollywood Association making it difficult for legitimate buyers to play their UHD discs on a PC. I used an Intel i7-8750h laptop with SGX support and it can play 4k UHD Bluray properly with Cyberlink PowerDVD. 19 on this Lite-On EB1 disc. The problem is that the Cyberlink software sucks, it limits its ability to read discs at 60Mbps, but some 4k UHD Blu-rays play at 100Mbps. Simply put, this means that PowerDVD freezes momentarily between certain scenes when playing (tried this with Wonder Woman bloodlines). You'd better copy the disc to your computer and play it with free video software than using Cyberlink Recycle Bin. Please note that I also have an AMD Ryzen 9 3950x desktop system and 4k Bluray playback is not possible through this drive due to the Intel SGX requirement. Normal Blu-ray discs will play smoothly with this drive on both Intel and AMD processors, regardless of the SGX's capabilities. Overall the drive itself is solid apart from a slightly loose USB 3 cable connector. The rest of the problems are entirely Intel SGX and really bad Cyberlink software. The drive would have received 5 stars were it not for the slightly loose USB 3 port on the drive itself. The drive itself was manufactured in October 2018.
