My photography teacher was shocked to see I never use a camera strap. She insisted I use it because she's seen what can happen to expensive photo gear if it falls. I get it but hate how the camera straps feel around my neck! When off my neck, the dangling objects get in the way when I try to shoot. So I bought this 'Cuff' bracelet from Peak Design instead. The only thing connected to the camera is a small loop of cable. little thing with a red plastic round bat. The "cuff" strap wraps around my wrist and can be adjusted with a small silver slider for a perfect fit. To attach your camera to your belt, simply insert the red round tip into the belt clip and lock. The small cable seems designed for a crazy weight, so it doesn't really care about the camera. To detach it from the strap, simply press the small red round part and pull it out. When not in use, the band serves as a kind of bracelet. Simply wrap the portion of the buckle (the black piece) around the "cuff" and the magnet (cleverly built into the strap itself) will hold the buckle to the strap. I have small wrists so the "bracelet" fits me a little loosely, but it's MUCH better than the annoying neck strap. The Peak Design Cuff Wrist Strap comes highly recommended.
