I have three Anycubic Mega X printers and they are all great. except for the absolute garbage extruders that come with them. Literally all three printers went down within a month because the extruders were unreliable and couldn't print for more than 20-40 minutes without slipping or complete filament failure. I was ready to convert them to direct drive or just toss them in the trash until I noticed someone mentioning that they had just replaced the factory extruder with this Bondtech and it had solved all their problems. And in fact I just removed the old extruder assembly, installed this and it works great. So replacing the factory extruder seems to solve the problem. So I'm really glad I was able to replace a part and turn my $350 paperweight back into a working machine. So, at least for Anycubic Mega C, this can be successfully used as a direct replacement. The only real complaints I have are that 1) the price is ridiculous for what you get. It's just some molded plastic parts and some gears and screws. This does not include a new engine or anything special. It's basically just another type of extruder body that you mount to an existing motor. It's infinitely better than the old one, but when you look at it, it looks like it should be $30 instead of $100. And 2) absolutely no instructions, pictures or anything. Cardboard box and extruder parts only. I've taken apart other extruders to understand how they work etc. but I'm still wondering what parts I'm replacing and what parts I'm reusing from an old printer. For the Mega X, I removed all of the old housing and extruder internals, then removed the gearbox and bearing from the motor. Installed a new brass gear onto the motor shaft and then screwed everything together (all the holes matched which was nice). It was easy looking back, but I was just putting things together and speculating the whole time. Now that I know it works and how to install it, I've ordered two more for my other two Mega X printers.
