Review on 🐠 XINYOU Corner Filter Aquarium Fish Tank Internal Air Driven Filter with Media XY-2008 for AquaCity by Mandy Rodriguez

I bought a 5.5 gallon starter kit for my betta fish. It came with a filter but it was so strong my poor betta got stuck in it. After much research I found out that the recommended betta filter is an internal air operated filter. I haven't had much luck locally, but I found this one and a few others at Revain. I chose this one because it fits perfectly in the corner of my aquarium and doesn't clutter up the decor (I have some driftwood, a small hideout hut, Marimo moss balls, and some live plants). An added bonus is that I was able to use sand as a substrate as this filter does not lift the sand during filtration. I bought a 10 gallon Tetra Whisper air pump to use as it requires an air pump to operate. Overall I am happy with my purchase. The only thing I want to mention and why I gave it 4 runs instead of 5 is that disassembling to clean the filter sponges is a bit difficult and you risk breaking the plastic case if you try to open it. My advice: be patient and take it apart carefully. I also wish it came with a charcoal filter, but it's easy to add.
