Beautiful rug with LARGE creases

At first glance a beautiful rug at a reasonable price - by no means a true Persian but good value for money, with a beautiful pattern and color scheme. . And then you notice wrinkles. We have had this rug on our floor for a month now, on a 3/8 inch thick felt backing. It had a number of creases when we first unrolled it, but we had a feeling it would straighten out over time. They didn't. So I folded the sheets and placed 2 x 10 x 8 footboards on top of the sheets. A week later the wrinkles remained. So I added the weight of our 8ft electric folding sofa over the boards above the largest crease. A week later the wrinkles were still there. As you can see in my photo, the creases are due to a single crease at the end of the rug - the end of the rug that was rolled first and tightest - and repeat themselves periodically as more rug is rolled over the original crease. The rug arrived with the top folded in and the bottom on the outside. In comparison, we bought a slightly smaller rug from a local discount store/affiliate store and it had the surface on the outside in a roll - and no creases, even small ones. Coincidence? Happy? Different manufacturer? Who knows? All I know is that we have a pretty tacky rug in the middle of our newly renovated living room and the return period has passed. I can't imagine ever buying this brand again. Update January. 6, 2016: Another reviewer mentioned that he had the same wrinkle problem in the rug when he unrolled it for the first time. He said if I was patient and gave the rug time to relax, maybe the wrinkles could smooth out. I really appreciated his advice and suggestion but unfortunately I didn't have the same experience as him. It's been about 2 months since we put the rug on the floor and the 2 biggest creases are still there - slightly reduced but still very noticeable. I suppose I could try moving the furniture around the edges of the rugs, rolling up the rug, rolling up the rug and putting it away for storage, and then putting the rug and furniture back in place, but that would be a big problem. I'll continue to watch for signs of improvement, but so far my opinion hasn't changed. I can't imagine ever buying this rug again. Updated May 23, 2017 Wait and see as the British say. The wrinkles went away and they were gone for probably 6 months maybe a little longer. The mat looks good, shows no signs of wear and is comfortable on the foot. So I guess it comes down to how long a person is willing to wait for the carpet to fully relax. I will be increasing my rating to 4 stars with the 5th star being held back due to the long wait for the wrinkles to be fixed as other than that issue this is a very good rug. In my photo, the blue color was more intense than this person wanted. The color is actually a little less intense than in the picture and more like a blue/grey.
