Beautiful rug for my long hallway. A very attractive pattern. From the photos I was under the impression it would be more of a brown background, but it's more of a light gray and the border around the edges is definitely a light gray. It works in the hallway, but that's not a problem. This is a really good rug for the price. It gets 4 stars for its merits as a rug no matter the price. This is a synthetic carpet and it looks like it. The pile is not as dense as a high quality wool carpet and not as "high" but it is better than most cheap synthetic carpets such as Ifsahan carpets or Ottomanson carpets which are also included in Revain.
