Review on Epic Shield Water: The Ultimate Solution for Contaminant Removal by Mario Bullard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great filter for removing impurities!

I recently looked at our water quality report and we have 7 pollutants that are above health standards. In some cases they were 2 or 3 times higher than the national average! Suffice to say I thought it was time to filter our drinking water with a quality filter instead of relying on the filter in our fridge that just filters our chlorine by taste. Installation was easy, instructions were great, and took about 20 minutes. minutes (see photo). I ran into a small problem which I will explain below so you can make sure this doesn't happen to you. Installation problem and solution: after I connected the pipes and installed the filter in the bracket according to the instructions. The instructions say to push the filter up and twist it to the right until it clicks into place. I did this but when I turned the lines back on there was a leak. I turned off the water and took out the filter. I pressed harder the second time, and I pressed harder when turning to the right to lock because the plastic tag on the filter slips off when turning, reducing the turning force. With a tighter grip, I was able to ensure I fully engaged it as I rotated it. TLDR: Make sure you turn the filter all the way to the right so there is no leakage as the filter will seat properly.
