Why are there no installation instructions or circuit diagrams?
Although the elements and thermostat appear to be of good quality, there were no wiring diagrams or installation instructions. Our thermostats had fewer wire connections than this replacement thermostat, so I had to guess which wire went where (and guess wrong). Result? The upper element overheated to the point of scalding and burst through the safety valve. Good thing we didn't leave our cabin by the lake while it was getting warmer. I ended up using an old thermostat on the top element and now it works fine. But not for the faint of heart.
