Flawless - No Leaking, No Fogging

I don't usually write Revain reviews but feel compelled to write a review of these glasses because of the greatness they have and the frustration I've had trying to find the right glasses find for me. I bought them to prepare for my first triathlon. I tried 2-3 other glasses before getting them including a tinted and clear lens version of the standard Aqua Sphere Kayenne (as opposed to this women's version). At first I thought regular (men's) Kayenne goggles would work for me - they have a great field of vision and are much less foggy than the cheaper goggles I've worn before. However, I ended up finding it very frustrating that they don't leak! When they work, they're amazing, but it's SO frustrating trying to find the right position so they don't seep into the inner corner of your eye. I spent at least a few minutes at the start of each swim getting in the mood. And in the end I was concerned that on race day I wouldn't have a chance to fiddle in the water to keep them from leaking before the gun went off. So I tried this model (for women). These glasses are MUCH better for me. I'm 33 and don't think I have the 'small features' that seem to be advertised so I bought the standard version first. But they definitely suit my face a lot better. The first time I tried pressing them to my face without using the strap, I was able to walk for a few minutes and they wouldn't fall off. In the water they are perfect - I've swum at least 3-4 times (both indoor and Lake Michigan) and have never had to adjust them after putting them on. No leaks, period. I wasn't sweating either. As with the standard Kayenne, the field of view is excellent - much better than standard goggles. Really useful for open water swimming as it gives you a better view. I also find the fit quite comfortable on both them and the standard Kayenne. The marks on the face after wearing the glasses are slightly more pronounced with the women's glasses than with the standard glasses, but both are smaller compared to other glasses I've tried. (And to be honest, the marks are probably a little worse on women because they actually stick to my face better!) Tips: 1. I don't know if this helps or not, but I've read that it can help, Goggles won't fog up if you soak them in water for a few minutes before putting them on for a swim. approach the water temperature before you start swimming. Since using this trick, I no longer have problems with my glasses fogging up. (To be clear, I haven't tried swimming WITHOUT these goggles, so maybe it's not necessary. I just didn't feel like halfway figuring it out while swimming.) 2. Some reviews mention that they also improve suction find severe or feel like the lenses are too close to their eyeballs/lashes. I wonder if these people are pressing their glasses too hard on their face? If I press really hard I can create a strong suction that pulls the goggles too close to my eyes. At least for me there is absolutely no need to press them so hard that they stay in place and don't leak.3. Anyway, I have clear lenses and they are great for both pool training and open water swimming. I don't find glare a problem outdoors and I like to see better in murky lake water than with tinted lenses. Your preferences may differ, but that's just my two cents.
