Not for sewing machines.

I'm sure they will match my trailer and truck marker lights. My wife's sewing machine has a 12 volt T5/T10 wedge bulb and complained about the bulb getting hot. I saw where they said they were DC or AC and bought them. No surprise, but a 12v socket for a sewing machine. They will fit and work there, but on AC because they only glow half the power cycle they are twice as bright and have noticeable stroboscopic flicker. I'm assuming some of these lamps have a built in rectifier: these don't. For the price these are good car lamps, which corresponds to the advertising, hence the 5 star rating.
