This filter jug will not deliver alkaline water.

I checked the PH of the water after passing it through the filter and it turned out to have a PH of 7 (it's neutral, not alkaline). It was the same pH as the water flowing straight from my faucet. The description states that the pitcher provides water with a pH of 8.5 to 9.5. It is not. I am returning this pot.
