Review on Optimized Surface Skimmers for Aquariums: Black Hole Skimmers by Ioulia Cats

Perfect product for my 150 gallon tank. I wish I had had this product when I had a planted aquarium. He does amazing work. I have African cichlids that eat sloppily so even with the FX6 pump I got biofilm on the surface. Which I painstakingly cleaned by hand every few days. Well, not anymore. Set up by 6:00 p.m., add extra charcoal and zeolite, and by 10:00 p.m. the aquarium will have crystal clear water and a clear surface. I set the timer to an hour every few hours. I would recommend it to any aquarium that wants crystal clear water. I have stopped adding activated carbon and other materials to my canister filters as you can only access them during cleaning, which on the Fx4-6 is once a month or every two months depending on the number of fish. Now I can just pull out the Black Hole Skimmer and change the filter media as needed. zeolite, charcoal, phosphorous, etc. I had a tiny, smaller glass skimmer from another company, but it didn't have room for extra media, and the filter was so tiny that it clogged after an hour and had to be replaced. too much trouble
